The issue appears to be that the included version is Subscription for individuals. I tried that several times already with no success. Does anyone have an easy way to remove this preinstalled Officer instance? To me it looks very, very ,risky. I think it was over 900 files it might have been less than that. . For example, if you have Microsoft Office Professional 2007 and Microsoft Office Visio 2007 installed on your computer, the Fix It solution only removes Microsoft Office Professional 2007 from your computer. My license key was showing in the product. But if another new user logs onto the same machine, it will install again. Any apps that come from the Windows store you have to right click in the Start menu and uninstall.

I understand that you are having trouble with an Office 2016 installation. It appears you normally have to remove it before you remove Office. It does not show up in Control Panel as software to uninstall. I did as you said and nervously used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Microsoft Office Trial from my Daughter's Sony Vario Laptop.
The instructions said to uninstall the current Office product unsing The Programs and Features menu from the Control Panel prior to installing the new purchase. Does anyone have a solution to this issue or experience similar problems? I activated the trial and have two days left. I downloaded and ran it, but a functioning copy of Office 365 remains on my computer. . They seem to have imbedded this trial installation onto new computers. I don't know whether your system is the same.
But here, not one disparaging remark! I then installed Office 2016 and everything looked good. I don't want loose everything and then have to reformat or even worse have to start all over again. I didn't need to remove Activation Assistant as you said as I think I probably had removed it accidentally in my previous adventures at trying to remove Office Trial. If not you should try contacting - support,micosoft. Thanks for all your help 900 files would not be unusual for a program the size of Office. We want to prevent this auto-installation from occuring each time a new user logs into a machine. The store apps definitely need to be uninstalled when older versions of Office are going to be installed to avoid conflicts between the store apps and the installed version.
Thanks for reply in advance. Then you may want to disable any antivirus software temporarily, to be sure it is not inhibiting the installation, then try installing and activating Windows 2016 again. When searching the internet for a solution earlier, I came across the Easy Fix Tool. Thanks again for your help but is there somewhere else that get rid of this annoying application. Same thing happens each time. How many other forums would have just blasted the guy for his lack of knowledge? Examples of issues this is causing: Users can't send email from other programs.
Start again and do not install the vendor's software. I really don't understand why Microsoft have made this so difficult to remove. I'm dammed if I do and dammed if I don't, because she needs this software installed for her school work. But if another new user logs onto the same machine, it will install again. Once it is in place then be sure to turn your Antivirus protection back on. And happy to have you here.
Something else just came to mind. I have also used Decrapifier in the past, but I don't think it is as thorough as Revo. They don't show up in Programs and Features. I then installed Office 2016. Kudos would also be appreciated.
In most places, that would be open season on the newbie. . I have my own license I want to load. We already have an image that was deployed to this machine with 0 bloatware. The issue I'm referring to is the auto-installation of Office from what appears to be the Windows Store.
